Study of Jay and Michelle

Study of Jay and Michelle

My good friends Jay and Michelle were my most faithful models while in High School and College. They show up in several of my drawings and paintings from 1998 to 2003. This is one of my favorite compositions because it is extremely dynamic and it shows their personalities. I was standing on top of a stool that I had placed on a couch to get this angle. Michelle is eating and talking with me, while Jay is as serious looking as ever. He was never a very relaxed model.
